Snub was formed in Philadelphia Pa in the fall of 1991 out of the ashes of the local combos Derelict Hotel, Grisly Fiction and Scab Cadillac. Doug Anson of Derelict Hotel fame played guitar and sang while Roger Bodine formerly of Grisly Fiction contributed bass and vocals and Paul Hazlet of Philly legends Scab Cadillac played the drums. Familiar with each other from the Philly scene and eager to collaborate, Doug and Roger brought in songs that the combo expanded upon, developing a very unique and individual sound. They debuted live at The Khyber Pass on March 18th 1992, opening for The Afghan Wigs. This was followed by several other shows at the Khyber, culminating in their final performance opening for Pavement on July 30th 1992. Doug moved to Arizona in August of that year and eventually formed the Gelcaps. Roger would next join Underraga while Paul would go on to play in Mel’s Rock Pile.
